　　The V-Lock® wall assembly is a replacement accessory for the exclusive, patented V-Lock speaker mounting system that is included with each Extron System I NTEGRATOR ® SI26 and SI28 surface mount speaker. This kit includes only the wall plate and locking portion of the V-Lock mounting system. V-Lock simplifies installation and substantially reduces the effort required to place and correctly position wall-mounted speakers either vertically or horizontally, while also offering theft deterrence. This replacement V-Lock wall assembly is sold in pairs, and is compatible with only the SI26 and SI28 speakers.

　　Surface mount speakers are mounted onto walls, and therefore require considerable flexibility in terms of where and how they can be installed. For integrators, a number of challenges exist in the successful installation of surface mount speakers in an instructional or commercial environment.

　　• When installing a speaker, the installer is often working at an elevated height, performing a delicate, tedious balancing act by supporting the speaker in place with one hand, and securing it to the mounting hardware by tightening with the other hand cramped behind the speaker.

　　• The speaker must not only be installed securely, but also properly aimed at the listening area. This is likely to require trial-and-error by first loosening the hardware, aiming the speaker while supporting it in place, re-tightening the hardware, and then repeating if necessary. The speaker often shifts while the installer tightens the hardware.

　　• Surface mount speakers, similar to projectors, are subject to theft because of their open exposure to potential vandals. Speakers can be removed simply by detaching them from the mounting hardware.

　　To address these challenges, Extron has developed V-Lock, an exclusive, Patented speaker mounting system that is included with each SI26 and SI28 surface mount speaker.

　　V-Lock simplifies installation and substantially reduces the effort required to place and correctly position wall-mounted speakers, while also offering theft deterrence. V-Lock is comprised of two components, one that is mounted to the wall, and the other which is integral to the speaker. It is sold in pairs and available in black or white.
